Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! You will be warmly received at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take some time to rest and prepare for the exciting birding adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park –

Begin your bird watching safari with a visit to Tarangire National Park. Explore the park’s diverse habitats, including woodlands and open grasslands, which attract a wide variety of bird species. Look out for colorful kingfishers, raptors, and water birds along the Tarangire River.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park –

Head to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its bird-rich environment. Embark on a game drive, keeping an eye out for the famous flamingos, pelicans, storks, and other waterfowl that inhabit the lake. Explore the park’s lush forests, home to a variety of forest-dwelling bird species.

Day 4: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Conservation Area –

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a haven for birdlife. Enjoy birding in the crater’s diverse habitats, from grasslands to wetlands. Look for ostriches, secretary birds, crowned cranes, and many more.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park

Transfer to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. While renowned for its wildebeest migration, the Serengeti also offers exceptional birding opportunities. Keep an eye out for vultures, eagles, bustards, and various species of raptors.

Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Lake Natron

Day 9: Lake Natron – Arusha

Day 10: Departure

It’s time to say goodbye to Tanzania as you transfer to the airport for your departure. Depart with cherished memories of the diverse birdlife and captivating landscapes you encountered during your safari.
